When EVOLUTION

Beats REVOLUTION

The genesis of the 911 dates back to 1959 when Ferdinand “Butzi” Porsche, son of Ferdinand “Ferry” Porsche, sketched its initial designs.

Conceived as a successor to the Porsche 356, the company’s inaugural consumer car, the Porsche 911 was envisioned to offer increased spaciousness, power, and comfort.

Upon its release in September 1964, the 911 swiftly asserted itself as an emblem of 1960s cool. Throughout subsequent decades, it garnered acclaim for its performance in the 1970s, sophistication in the 1980s, and athleticism and power in the 1990s.

Today, the Porsche 911 stands as the quintessential embodiment of German sports car craftsmanship.

Noteworthy is its gradual evolution in exterior design, maintaining the iconic curves from its 1964 origins through each successive generation. In an industry marked by rapid reinvention, this steadfast continuity underscores the 911’s unwavering commitment to its heritage.

Less Processing

More Character

An estimated 70 percent of the over one million Porsche 911s ever produced still roam the roads—a testament to their enduring quality.

With our 901 Collection, our mission is to seek out retired 911s and repurpose their components for our timepieces. Our approach involves recycling exterior parts and incorporating them into the watch dial with minimal alteration, preserving the distinct patina and rugged charm of the 901 Collection.

Upon receiving these parts, we meticulously stamp them into watch dials. The quantity and condition of available parts dictate the number of dials we can produce, ensuring each one bears a unique patina.

To prepare the components, we carefully remove any residual paint or primer, revealing the bare metal underneath. A thin coat of transparent lacquer is then delicately applied to achieve a flat surface and create a vacuum, halting the oxidation process.

Additionally, we conduct thorough research to uncover the history and background of the previous owners, often relying solely on the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). By scanning the NFC storycard included in your 901 gift box, you can unveil the full narrative of the car that transformed into your watch.

When details

Matter the Most

In addition to housing a fragment of a 911, the 901 encapsulates the authentic essence of this legendary sports car.

While the recycled dial takes center stage, the design of the 901 incorporates numerous nods to the vehicle’s rich heritage spanning generations.

The rounded case mirrors the distinctive silhouette of the 911, complete with the iconic rear air intake nestled between the lugs. Positioned over the robust Miyota cal. 9100 movement, the exhibition case-back showcases the legendary Fuchs hubcap design, revealing a rotor adorned to resemble a brake disc.

Opposite the semi-submerged screw-in crown reminiscent of the Porsche’s horn button, a small plaque displays the VIN and production year of the actual 911 from which your watch is crafted. Embodying the spirit of the original five-dial cluster on the 911, the 901 features a sandwich dial with five functions, with the watch hands fashioned as replica gauge needles.

At the 12 o’clock position, the 40-hour power reserve emulates the gas and oil gauge found on early 911s, presented as a rotating disc that changes color with winding. Positioned at 3, 6, and 9 o’clock respectively, the month, date, and day complications are constructed as transparent discs with contrasting backgrounds and windows, enhancing the timepiece’s functionality and aesthetic appeal.
