Project P51 Green Hornet
DNA Edition
The P51 Green Hornet is a limited-edition timepiece crafted from Carroll Shelby’s iconic 1968 Ford Mustang EXP500 prototype, known as the ‘Green Hornet.’
Affectionately dubbed “the one and only Green Hornet” by Carroll Shelby himself, this vehicle embodies a rich chapter in the history of Ford and Shelby American, representing the zenith of the American muscle car era.
While many prototypes met an untimely end, the Green Hornet defied the odds and returned to the road. The surplus parts from its meticulous restoration have been transformed into the dials of the P51 Green Hornet timepiece.
Featuring a striking green-and-gray color palette, the P51 Green Hornet is elegantly designed for the wrist, complete with a double calf leather strap and a 42mm cushion case.

Shelby Experimental
The Green Hornet began life as a Lime Gold Mustang prototype, destined for Ford’s California Special project. When the plan was shelved, the car was transferred to Shelby American and transformed into an experimental performance platform.
Shelby engineers fitted the car with a prototype IRS system, four-wheel disc brakes, and a Conelec EFI – remarkable innovations for 1968 – securing its place in muscle car history.
Brought back
To Former Glory
The Green Hornet’s resurrection was led by Craig Jackson and Jason Billups, who painstakingly restored the car to its prototype spec – even recreating experimental parts from scratch. Their goal: make it exactly as Shelby envisioned it.
Shelby himself once called it “the one and only Green Hornet.” Surplus sheet metal from this project was used to create the P51 Green Hornet watch – embedding history into every dial.
