FORD GT40 – CHASSIS NO.
P/1001
COMING SOON – a new collection crafted from the 1965 MkI Ford GT40 chassis no. P/1001, the first-ever production GT40.
Few cars rival the emotional intensity of the Ford GT40.
Born from the fierce rivalry between Henry Ford II and Enzo Ferrari, it claimed four consecutive 24 Hours of Le Mans titles from 1966 to 1969, cementing its place as a symbol of American innovation and determination in motorsport.
With just 105 GT40s produced between 1964 and 1969, chassis P/1001 stands out as the first-ever production car, leaving the FAV Slough factory in March 1965. It marked the critical transition from prototype to production, playing a pivotal role in the GT40’s legacy.
