Project RNR Beachrunner

DNA Edition

The RNR Beachrunner is a limited edition timepiece crafted from the 1981 Land Rover Series III, known as the “Beachrunner.”

Its owner, Daniel Espirito Santo, is a Portuguese filmmaker and surfer who lives for the present – capturing his travels by camera and board along the beaches of Peniche.

The Beachrunner’s aluminum roof was salvaged during its restoration and reborn as the dial of this rugged yet refined timepiece – a celebration of freedom, simplicity, and honest engineering.

RNR stands for “Road Not Required” – a tribute to the go-anywhere ethos that defines both the Series III and the people drawn to it.

A Way of Life

Sea-breeze & Saltwater

The 1981 Land Rover known as the Beachrunner didn’t just battle sand, wind, and salt – it carried its owner through a life reboot.

From corporate grind to coastal freedom, Daniel Espirito Santo’s journey found form in his Series III – and the sun-worn roof that topped it off now lives on in every Beachrunner dial.

From Roof to Wrist

Patina included

The Beachrunner’s aluminum roof was reborn as 552 dials – each one unique, each one layered with sun, salt, and story.

We left the marks in. Then sealed the surface with transparent lacquer to lock in its legacy and protect its raw authenticity.

A Fusion of

Form and function

Built to go the distance, the 40 mm square case is shaped for the outdoors – tough, reliable, and no-nonsense, just like the Land Rover that inspired it.

From the rubber bezel to the 5-bolt case-back and grille-like crown guard, every detail echoes Series III DNA in subtle, rugged ways.
