Project RNR Rockfighter

DNA Edition

The RNR Rockfighter is a limited edition timepiece created from the door of a 2003 Land Rover Defender – a vehicle built to go everywhere and endure anything.

Owned by adventurer Michael Ortner, this Defender crossed mountains and deserts across Europe and North Africa. When its door was replaced in 2019, we salvaged the original panel to forge something new.

Now, that same material lives on as the dial of the Rockfighter – a tribute to grit, endurance, and a roadless state of mind.

A Lifetime of Tours

Tough as Nails

The 2003 Defender known as the Rockfighter was purpose-built by Michael Ortner to endure the world’s harshest environments.

For over 17 years, it served as both a personal companion and a professional tool on off-road expeditions across continents.

Outdoor Adventures

On your wrist

From that retired door, we created 453 dials – each lacquered, leveled, and sealed to preserve its unique patina.

Every piece carries the memory of landscapes crossed, engines tested, and roads not required.

Hard Lines

Soft Edges

Every detail of the RNR Rockfighter is grounded in utility – from its square 40 mm case to its softly curved silhouette.

It was designed not just to resemble the Defender, but to share its purpose: tough, reliable, and built for impact.
