The RJM Series

The RJM is a limited edition timepiece crafted from the historic Mk.IX Spitfire aircraft, PT879, famously known as the “Russian Spitfire.”

This aircraft, originally part of the wartime Lend-Lease program, crashed in the Russian tundra in 1945. After 54 years, it was repatriated to Britain in 1998, marking PT879 as the only WWII Spitfire to return from Russia.

Each RJM watch carries a tangible piece of history, featuring an untreated aluminum fragment from the aircraft’s wings, placed at the 6 o’clock position. This metal, unfit for restoration, connects the wearer to the aircraft’s storied past.

Additionally, a portion of every RJM sale supports the ongoing restoration of PT879, aiding in its preparation for a symbolic “second maiden flight.” The RJM Series proudly honors Reginald Joseph Mitchell, the visionary designer of the iconic Spitfire.

Celebrated for its sleek, aerodynamic design and wartime heroics, the Spitfire played a pivotal role during WWII.

Repurposed

Battle Scars

In our dedication to seeing PT879 take her “second maiden flight,” a portion of every RJM sale is contributed to the restoration team, ensuring this historic aircraft will soon return to where she belongs: the skies.

PT879 is undergoing a meticulous restoration at Hangar 11, led by renowned pilot and restorer Peter Teichman. With a lifelong passion for bringing classic warbirds back to their prime, Peter is restoring PT879 to her exact factory condition from August 4, 1944, when she originally left Castle Bromwich.

Own a Piece Of

World History

Crafting the RJM Series presented a captivating challenge: to design a watch that pays homage to the Spitfire’s engineering excellence and PT879’s storied history, while capturing the essence of its wartime era.

We began by incorporating key elements from the Spitfire’s iconic wing design into the watch’s case.
